OUR SERVICES

To help students applying art colleges, Prof. Ming Ren and other experienced senior professors will teach and advice the Program. The Program is designed to help each student for his/her portfolio to apply different art colleges.

Studio Class 画室课程

Based on individual art level of each student, EWI offers the professional class to students from middle to high school.

Online Class 网络课程

Online classes are designed for distance students. In Covid-19 Pandemic period, all classes are online. Student can get on Zoom to participate class. Professors will instruct and critique work for each student. Online classes is operated on Zoom.

Portfolio Package Service 作品集服务

The student who is going to apply art colleges and universities in the last year ( second semester of Junior and first semester of senior in high school), Portfolio workshop will be available. We will help Student to focus on the requirement from each selected colleges and prepare the portfolios for application before the deadline.

Specialized College Admission Coaching Services 特殊升学指导服务

The student who is going to apply colleges and universities in the last year ( second semester of Junior and first semester of senior in high school). Besides Portfolio workshop, we also provide specialized coaching for students applying to Ivy League and top-tier universities, offering comprehensive support to enhance students’ overall strength and competitiveness.

1. Studio Class 画室课程

3. Portfolio Package Service 作品集服务

Students in their final year (Grade 11 and Grade 12) preparing to apply to art schools or comprehensive universities can participate in our portfolio workshop. We will assist students in focusing on the specific requirements of each chosen institution and prepare their application portfolios before the deadline. We also provide a limited number of teacher recommendation letters for applications and offer all professional and creative courses needed for the portfolio.
Program highlight: Special college admission coaching services are provided to students applying to comprehensive universities to maximize their admission opportunities.
  1. Package One: Apply to 10 art schools, including top five choices: Rhode Island School of Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, ArtCenter College of Design, California Institute of the Arts, and Parsons School of Design. For the second five choices, students may select any other five schools from the list.
  2. Package Two: Apply to 10 comprehensive universities. We also offer a one-year art portfolio training course for students applying to comprehensive universities to help them maximize their potential and prepare a successful portfolio. Special college admission coaching services are provided as well (see service 4 for details).
  3. Package Three: Apply to 5 art schools and 5 comprehensive universities. Students choose five comprehensive universities and five art schools to apply to, with EWI providing portfolio services and special college admission coaching services for those applying to comprehensive universities (see service 4 for details).

  1. 方案一：申请10所艺术院校：包括第一选择5所院校分别为：罗德岛美术学院、芝加哥美术学院、艺术中心设计学院、加州艺术学院和帕森斯设计学院。第二选择学生可在院校清单中任意选择其他5所学院。

选择方案一的申请人将获得：未录取–全额退款保证 !

4. Specialized College Admission Coaching Service 特殊升学指导服务

Specialized College Admission Coaching Services

Dr. Yan Yang, a lifetime admissions interviewer for Yale University, holds undergraduate, graduate, PhD, and postdoctoral degrees from Yale. With deep expertise in elite college admissions, she provides specialized coaching for students applying to Ivy League and top-tier universities, focusing on:
• Essay refinement and optimization
• Personal statement review and enhancement
• Interview preparation and mock interviews
Each student receives six one-on-one coaching sessions, each lasting 40 minutes, conducted via Zoom to ensure their application materials are polished to perfection, maximizing their chances of admission.

Art Portfolio Coaching Services

Professor Ming Ren offers comprehensive portfolio guidance aimed at cultivating students’ creative thinking and artistic potential. This program focuses on:

Ming REN / 任敏

Ming Ren currently is a professor and director of international MFA program at China Academy of Art and PhD Professor at Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. He has taught at RISD winter program many years and CCSF art program since 1990.

David FRAZER / 大卫. 弗雷泽

Prof. David Frazer is a RISD painting professor emeritus. He was a Chair of Painting Department many times at RISD where he had taught more than 40 years. He is a guess professor of International MFA Program at China Academy of Art.

Jeremy MORGAN / 杰米. 摩根

Jeremy Morgan is a professor of painting at SFAI where he has taught since 1989. He has also taught at CCA in Oakland and JFK University. He is also a professor for the graduate program at China Academy of Art and PhD program at Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts.

Ken HORII / 肯. 霍利

Ken Horii is a RISD professor emeritus. He taught foundation program at the Spatial Dynamics in the Experimental and Foundation Studies Division at RISD for 26 year and served as a Chair of Foundation Studies for ten years. He is a guess professor for the International MFA Program at China Academy of Art.

Charlie AHEARN / 查理. 哈恩

Ahearn has taught university classes on video, art and design for over thirty years, his paintings, films and videos have been shown at MOMA New York, The Tate Museum in Livepool and many world-famous art museums.

Fred MARTIN / 弗莱德. 马丁

Prof. David Frazer was Department Head of Painting, Fine Arts Division at RISD where he has taught since 1978.
